A vibrant elementary school community near Zion, IL, is seeking an enthusiastic and creative educator to guide Pre-K through 2nd-grade students on their musical journey for the upcoming academic year, starting August 17 and running through May 27, 2027. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers a welcoming, collaborative school environment where your expertise and passion will make a significant impact.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
  • Current Illinois Professional Educator License with music endorsement (or relevant certification)
  • Demonstrated understanding of curriculum design, lesson planning, and effective music instruction
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build engaging, inclusive classroom environments for young learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a diverse K-2 music curriculum to foster creativity, appreciation, and basic musical skills
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional activities that support learning objectives and meet the needs of students at various developmental stages
  • Collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum and participate in school-wide events and performances
