Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Previous experience working as a School RN or Certified School Nurse (CSN) strongly preferred
  • Experience with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and medication administration in a school setting
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing school health services
  • Outstanding communication and organizational abilities
  • Compassionate approach to patient care, especially with children and adolescents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address student health needs, delivering first aid and emergency care as required
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor students with chronic health conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families, staff, and physicians
  • Maintain accurate health records in compliance with school policies and privacy laws
  • Educate students, staff, and parents about health topics, hygiene, and disease prevention
  • Support school-wide health screenings and immunization record-keeping
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for student health within the school community
