Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA license or certification, meeting state requirements
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans developed by Speech-Language Pathologists
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out speech and language therapy activities as directed by supervising SLP
- Support IEP goals through individualized and group interventions
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Assist in the preparation of therapy materials and reports
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress
- Foster an engaging, positive environment to motivate and encourage students in their speech/language growth
