Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract position as a Speech Language Pathologist serving students from 4K through grade 8 for the upcoming school year. This full-time opportunity begins August 24 and runs through June 4, offering 37.5 hours each week to make a lasting impact in a supportive educational environment near Oak Creek, WI.
You’ll support a caseload consisting of approximately 11 speech-only students and 10–20 students with IEPs where speech services are a related component. This role truly benefits from professionals who bring experience in diverse, urban settings, offering an understanding and responsive approach to varied student needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Wisconsin SLP license and DPI required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC-SLP certification highly preferred; strong CFY candidates considered if necessary
- Familiarity with Child Find processes and requirements
- Background working with 4K–8th grade students
- Experience in diverse educational settings is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for student referrals
- Plan, deliver, and monitor both direct and indirect speech-language services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal student success
- Develop progress monitoring systems and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with IEP goals
