Step into a fulfilling contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with students across multiple school sites near Naperville, IL. In this specialized role, you will:
- Provide speech-language therapy services 2 days per week in self-contained complex needs classrooms across two different schools.
- Spend half a day each week supporting students with speech-only caseloads at a third location.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, special educators, and interdisciplinary teams to support each student’s IEP goals.
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments, create individualized therapy plans, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work with students who have a variety of communication challenges, adapting therapy methods to maximize outcomes.
- Travel between school sites as part of your weekly routine; mileage will be expected but allows for engaging, varied environments.
Ideal background and skills:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Valid state license/SLP certification and ASHA CCCs (or eligibility).
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with complex needs or speech-only caseloads.
- Comfort and flexibility with traveling between multiple schools each week.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation efficiently.
- Clear, positive communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff.
