This contract role offers a unique blend of experiences, splitting your time between evaluation-focused and general school psychologist responsibilities across two school communities. You’ll work weekdays from 8am to 3:30pm, enjoy predictable hours, and contribute to the well-being and growth of students from early childhood through 8th grade.

What You’ll Bring:

• Valid state credential to serve as a School Psychologist
• Experience in completing ECAT (Early Childhood Assessment Team) evaluations
• Competency in psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and developing effective IEPs
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Flexibility and organizational skills to balance multiple responsibilities
• Ability to support a diverse population spanning early childhood through middle school

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct ECAT evaluations and participate in related meetings for part of the week
• Serve as a regular school psychologist in the Lake Villa area for the other half of the week
• Support student success by assessing learning and behavioral needs, interpreting results, and making recommendations
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and family members to develop and implement student support plans
• Attend meetings, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to a positive school climate
• Offer consultation and crisis intervention when necessary
