Speech Language Pathologist in Canonsburg, PA
Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication needs as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist on a full-time contract assignment for the upcoming academic year. Two onsite roles are available, serving schools across Washington and Greene Counties. In these roles, you’ll work closely with educators, families, and therapy teams to provide direct, in-person speech-language services that help students achieve their fullest academic and social potential.
Qualifications:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- PA SLP Educator Certificate required
- Previous experience working with school-age children preferred
- Strong collaborative skills and an adaptable, positive attitude
- Reliable transportation for travel to assigned sites; candidates must be able to commute to multiple locations as listed
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough records, documentation, and progress reports for each student
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50 students (varies by assignment)
- Participate in training sessions prior to school start dates (August 13th, 14th, and 17th as scheduled)
- Provide services across several campuses, including scheduled travel to Bethlehem-Center Elementary, Fort Cherry Elementary, and schools in Waynesburg
