Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as a full-time school counselor or school-certified social worker in a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule during the 2026-2027 academic year, providing valuable guidance to a diverse caseload across grade levels.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with students, staff, and families to support academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth, ensuring every student has the tools they need to thrive. You’ll be valued for your expertise while working in a supportive school community dedicated to student well-being.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with school counselor endorsement or valid school social work certification
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
  • Ability to support diverse student populations with empathy and clear communication
  • Skilled in developing and implementing student success plans
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in student care
  • Availability for a full-time schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–3:30 pm, 30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • Willingness to work the entire contract from August 12, 2026, to May 28, 2027

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver counseling services and interventions to address student needs
  • Provide short-term individual and group counseling
  • Serve as an advocate for student well-being alongside educational teams
  • Support crisis intervention, behavior management, and socio-emotional learning
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote a positive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Demonstrate flexibility in supporting a caseload determined prior to the school year
