Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year, supporting young learners through important stages of development. In this full-time role, you'll work primarily with the PreK Evaluation Center, playing a key part in assessing and treating students ages 3 to 5, as well as offering direct therapy at both PreK centers and a middle school in the area near Leland, NC.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state
- Experience or interest in school-based settings
- Strong background in play-based assessments, especially for early childhood (3-5 years)
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform 3–4 days per week of play-based evaluations for children ages 3–5 at the PreK Evaluation Center
- Conduct 1–2 days per week of direct therapy sessions with students in PreK centers and at a middle school
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Support families and staff by sharing strategies to promote student success in various settings
