School-Based Physical Therapist - Bloomfield, Connecticut

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Connecticut, or eligibility for licensure
• Prior experience working with school-aged children, ideally within a K-12 setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP procedures and best practices for educational physical therapy
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a diverse range of student needs and abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Willingness and availability to work in person across the district

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct evaluations and develop goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to student needs
• Work closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success
• Maintain clear documentation of progress and communication with relevant stakeholders
• Provide consultative support and recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment
• Travel to multiple school sites within the district as required

This position is full time (Monday through Friday), with a schedule ranging from 32 to 37.5 hours per week and encompasses the entire school year from August 2026 to June 2027. As the sole physical therapist districtwide, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive.
