Job Description

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Connecticut, or eligibility for licensure
- Prior experience working with school-aged children, ideally within a K-12 setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP procedures and best practices for educational physical therapy
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a diverse range of student needs and abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness and availability to work in person across the district
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations and develop goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Work closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success
- Maintain clear documentation of progress and communication with relevant stakeholders
- Provide consultative support and recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment
- Travel to multiple school sites within the district as required
This position is full time (Monday through Friday), with a schedule ranging from 32 to 37.5 hours per week and encompasses the entire school year from August 2026 to June 2027. As the sole physical therapist districtwide, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive.
