Job Description
Put your expertise in school psychology to work supporting elementary students in a contract position for the upcoming academic year. Located near White Rock, NM, this onsite opportunity spans from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You'll contribute to a collaborative, student-centered environment, working across two elementary sites and making a meaningful impact on children’s academic and social success. This position is ideal for professionals with a strength in behavioral support and teamwork.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (or School Social Worker, with relevant experience)
- Strong background in developing and implementing positive behavior plans
- Experience assisting educators in classroom management and intervention strategies
- Familiarity with pre-referral processes and conducting evaluations in accordance with school policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Ability to adapt to multiple school sites and work efficiently in different environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and put into practice individualized behavior plans for elementary students
- Support school staff in managing classroom behaviors and promoting positive outcomes
- Provide pre-referral consultations and complete evaluative activities as needed
- Serve as a resource for school teams in the identification and support of students with behavioral and academic needs
- Document activities and outcomes as per school protocols
- Work a consistent 7-hour onsite schedule, maintaining flexibility to move between two locations if needed
