Job Description
Step into an exciting opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary students on a contract basis. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) focuses on delivering impactful speech and language services during a leave coverage from September 26th to January 6th, with the potential for extension based on need.
Based at a single site serving a manageable caseload of 46 elementary-aged students, you will have the chance to implement a range of therapy techniques and collaborate closely with a dedicated educational team. Whether you are an experienced SLP-CCC or a motivated Clinical Fellow (CFY) eager to launch your school-based career, your expertise will play a key role in student growth and success.
What You Bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; strong support also available for Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- Prior experience in school settings or with elementary-age children is valued
- Knowledge of a variety of therapy techniques and the ability to individualize interventions
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Collaborative mindset to engage with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
In This Role, You Will:
- Provide direct therapy and intervention for a caseload of 46 elementary students
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely progress reports and other necessary documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers and other school staff
- Engage families in the therapy process and provide strategies for carryover
