Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ physical development as a part-time Physical Therapist within an educational environment. This opportunity begins as soon as possible and runs through mid-June 2026, with a dedicated schedule each Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (enjoying a seven-hour paid workday and a 30-minute lunch break). You’ll play a key role in helping learners achieve their fullest potential by tailoring therapeutic interventions that enhance mobility, independence, and educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to assigned students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Evaluate student physical development, motor function, and physical needs within the school setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans and targeted interventions that support classroom and school participation
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation including progress notes, service records, and other required reports
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, interdisciplinary teams, and families to ensure consistent and coordinated care
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania State License in Physical Therapy (PT)
- Previous experience with pediatric or school-based physical therapy is desirable
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation timely
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration with educational teams and families
