This contract opportunity offers two distinct positions: one fulfilling full-time, full school year coverage, and another providing maternity leave coverage from August through the projected end date in March. You'll play a vital role in enhancing student independence and participation within educational settings.

Requirements for Success:

  • Hold an active California Occupational Therapy license
  • Possess recent experience within California schools
  • Strong background working with K-12 students with mild to severe disabilities
  • Skilled in administering the Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency (BOT-3) and the Peabody Developmental Motor Scales
  • Flexibility to manage a fluctuating caseload without set caps, adapting to changing assessment and consultation needs as they arise
  • Talent for interpreting and utilizing data to address parent concerns and make thoughtful recommendations for services
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, able to create and manage your own schedule autonomously in the field with limited district support
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are highly valued, though not required

What You'll Do:

  • Evaluate and provide occupational therapy services to students ages 3-22 with a variety of diagnoses
  • Conduct assessments and re-assessments, completing all required documentation
  • Travel between multiple sites as an itinerant provider (anticipated)
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote best outcomes
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively, addressing parent questions and concerns
