Job Description
Embark on an impactful contract assignment supporting student communication needs in a vibrant North Houston area school district for the 2026–2027 academic year. This on-site opportunity requires three Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide critical services to a varied student population. Openings are available in the North, Northeast, and South sides of the district, with most roles based at a single school and select itinerant positions.
Begin your assignment in August and make a difference through May, working a consistent full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Supervision and mentorship are available for Clinical Fellows, making this an excellent placement for both experienced SLPs and those beginning their professional journey.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Texas state licensure or be eligible to obtain one
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) highly preferred, though Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive educational experiences
Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic speech-language services to students (caseload details and age group to be determined)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to support individualized education plans
- Travel between school sites if assigned an itinerant position
- Maintain accurate records for compliance and progress monitoring
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute essential student data
