As a contract-based General Education Math Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to create positive learning experiences and help students reach their full potential during the 2026-2027 academic year.
What You'll Bring:
- Active Louisiana DOE certification (Required)—candidates must already be fully licensed; temporary or provisional certificates not accepted.
- Proven experience or strong ability to teach general education mathematics at the high school level.
- Strong classroom management, flexibility, and genuine enthusiasm for supporting student growth.
- Willingness and ability to complete all required district onboarding, including background check, drug screen, and fingerprinting.
- Adaptability to work across assigned school sites (number of campuses and caseload to be determined).
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging math instruction in alignment with state standards and school curriculum.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that cultivates critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and tailor instruction to diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and parents to promote academic success and a positive school culture.
- Maintain all necessary documentation, participate in school activities, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
This contract offers full-time hours (35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, per the school calendar), allowing you to truly invest in your students' learning journey for the entire school year.
