Retail Pharmacy Manager - Oneonta, NY

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Pharmacy Manager role is available in Oneonta, NY, seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead and oversee pharmacy operations. This contract position offers the potential for interim or permanent placement with a location that values compliance, patient care, and business development within their pharmacy department.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the supervising pharmacist, registered with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Manage the pharmacy’s financial goals, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, and inventory.
• Lead pharmacy support personnel with performance management and training.
• Oversee patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, interactions, side effects, and therapy monitoring.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Complete required continuing education and company training.
• Support business development efforts within the store and community.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid New York pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification with confidence administering all vaccines.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with a commitment to regulatory compliance and patient safety.
