ESL Teacher in Round Lake, IL

Step into a formative role guiding young learners as an ESL and General Education Teacher in a Pre-K classroom. Based in a supportive and collaborative environment near Round Lake, IL, this full-time contract position covers the school year from August 17 to May 27, 2027. You'll focus on providing engaging instruction for students in early elementary (Pre-K) who are developing foundational English skills, helping set them on a path to lifelong learning.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsements.
• Experience or genuine interest in developing curriculum, lesson planning, and differentiated instruction for early learners.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families—both in writing and verbally.
• Understanding of dual language or ESL instructional strategies, especially for Pre-K through second grade.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and implement lesson plans that foster language acquisition and early learning concepts for Pre-K students.
• Utilize creative, age-appropriate teaching methods that encourage social, emotional, and academic growth in multilingual learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor, assess, and document students’ progress, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
