Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure or ability to obtain required credential for school social work
  • Previous experience as a social worker in a school or educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Develop and implement intervention plans in coordination with teachers, staff, and families
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 meetings as needed
  • Connect students and families to local resources and community agencies
  • Support crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and prevention initiatives on campus
  • Document services, maintain confidential records, and comply with regulatory requirements
