Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or ability to obtain required credential for school social work
- Previous experience as a social worker in a school or educational setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage families
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement intervention plans in coordination with teachers, staff, and families
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 meetings as needed
- Connect students and families to local resources and community agencies
- Support crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and prevention initiatives on campus
- Document services, maintain confidential records, and comply with regulatory requirements
