Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist during a maternity leave assignment for the 2026–2027 school year! This opportunity spans both Liberty Elementary and Liberty Intermediate/Middle School, conveniently located near each other, and allows you to set your own daily schedule within a 7-hour workday. You'll provide vital speech and language services to a diverse caseload of approximately 90 students from kindergarten through 8th grade from August 10, 2026, through the first week of November 2026.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP in Indiana schools
- Prior experience delivering speech and language services in a school setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Positive, student-focused mindset and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students in grades K–8
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to support student outcomes
- Travel between two adjacent school buildings as part of your flexible schedule
