Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the picturesque area near Centreville and Chestertown, MD. This assignment spans PreK through 2nd grade in a vibrant educational setting, creating meaningful change for students at a pivotal stage of development.

This position is designed for an SLP who thrives in a school environment, with responsibilities that combine assessments, direct therapy, and essential case management. You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 50 students and collaborate with a dedicated team of educational professionals.

Key Details:

  • Location: Centreville, MD and nearby areas including Chestertown
  • Setting: PreK-2 School
  • Contract Dates: October 1 to December 23rd
  • Schedule: 7 hours per day, with a half-hour unpaid lunch
  • Caseload: Approx. 50 students

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland State License in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience delivering speech-language services in school settings preferred
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Provide direct therapy tailored to student needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
  • Communicate progress with educators and families
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and manage case documentation
