Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Citrus Heights, California

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A professional opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist In Charge to support pharmacy operations in Citrus Heights, CA. This contract role offers an immediate start with a duration of approximately 8 to 13 weeks, providing a critical leadership presence during this period.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end prescription processing and dispensing
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
• Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth workflow
• Ensure proper opening and closing of the pharmacy, with compliance to all regulatory requirements
• Complete all necessary Pharmacist In Charge documentation and paperwork

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of two years’ recent retail pharmacy experience required
• Prior experience as a Retail Pharmacist In Charge highly preferred
• Possession of a valid California pharmacist license (in-hand)
• Immunization certification and current BLS (Basic Life Support) card are mandatory
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system is essential
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
