This contract role begins August 3rd, with a schedule of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. The caseload details will be provided soon, allowing you to tailor your approach and maximize your impact.
Your expertise in OT—across school-based practice, teletherapy, home health, and healthcare—will enable you to address diverse student needs and contribute to a collaborative environment designed for professional growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in California
- Experience working in educational settings, preferably with school-aged children
- Competence in teletherapy and home health OT practices
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptability and creative problem-solving abilities
- Previous contract or full-time school-based OT experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP/504 plans and school goals
- Assess and document students’ functional abilities and progress
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practice
- Engage in team meetings and consult with teachers and staff
- Collect and maintain accurate records and reports
- Communicate regularly with students’ families and multidisciplinary teams for progress updates
- Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed to ensure comprehensive support
