We are seeking a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) eager to empower learners throughout several school sites, including elementary, middle, and high school campuses. Collaborate with an experienced on-site Occupational Therapist who offers supervision and guidance, ensuring seamless continuity of care and ample professional support.
This assignment covers the full academic year—from late August through late May—allowing you to build meaningful relationships and see your impact grow over time. The position offers full-time hours, with approximately 35 hours each week distributed across four schools within the district.
Key Qualifications:
- Active PA COTA license required
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families
- Comfortable working across multiple school sites
- Positive attitude and a student-centered approach
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and progress notes
Responsibilities:
- Support students' individual education plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapy services and interventions to students across a K-12 setting
- Adapt strategies and tools according to student needs and grade levels
- Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and ongoing collaboration with teachers and staff
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reporting
