Job Description
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming school-based environment. This opening, conveniently located within 35 minutes east of Winston-Salem, runs from August 26, 2026, through June 10, 2027. Both experienced SLPs and those working toward their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply. Full-time (35 hours/week) and part-time arrangements are available to fit various work/life needs, with reasonable caseloads ranging from 45 to 50 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) for North Carolina
- CCC-SLP credential from ASHA preferred, but strong CFYs will be considered
- Prior experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare SLP settings valuable
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Commitment to evidence-based and student-centered intervention
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication and swallowing disorders
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy aligned with IEP goals and school requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor progress and adapt interventions
- Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed
- Support the overall speech-language program through data collection, resource sharing, and proactive communication
