Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a Certified Elementary Cognitively Impaired (CI) Teacher with a special education focus for the 2026-2027 school year. Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity serving K-2 students in a nurturing, onsite setting. You’ll play a critical role in facilitating growth and development for students with unique needs through the close of school in June 2027.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license
- CI (Cognitively Impaired) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) endorsement
- Certification in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), or willingness to obtain and maintain annual certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and families
- Genuine interest in providing individualized instruction and support
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor student progress, implement behavior interventions, and adjust instruction as needed
- Foster positive relationships with students to encourage social, emotional, and academic growth
- Support crisis prevention and intervention strategies when necessary
- Ensure compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements
