A rewarding contract opportunity is available for those passionate about supporting students through evidence-based behavioral interventions. Work as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a dynamic school environment near Gretna, LA, providing essential services to students for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Role Details:

  • Full-time schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, aligning with the school calendar (7-hour days, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
  • Assignment across one or more schools in the New Orleans area; number of campuses and specific caseload will be determined.
  • Contract dates run from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027.
  • Candidates are carefully prescreened prior to consideration, ensuring you’re well-positioned for success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Registered Behavior Technician credential from the BACB.
  • National certification requirements include:
    • Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma or GED.
    • Successful completion of a 40-hour RBT training course.
    • Achievement of passing results on the RBT Initial Competency Assessment and official certification exam.
    • Clear results from criminal background and abuse registry checks.
  • Ability to be registered by a supervising Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) with the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board.
  • Must complete drug screening and fingerprinting per district and agency requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement one-on-one and small group behavioral interventions tailored for students.
  • Collaborate with other educational staff and your supervising LBA to monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed session and progress documentation in accordance with district policies.
  • Foster a positive, supportive environment for students to reach behavioral and academic goals.
