School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Port Orchard, Washington

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing essential support to students in an elementary school early learning environment. This on-site position begins tentatively on August 24th and offers a full-time schedule—Monday through Friday, covering 37.5 hours per week. Staff hours run from 8:45 am to 4:15 pm, with the structured student day occurring from 9:10 am to 4:00 pm.

As a key member of a collaborative special education team, your expertise will directly impact the growth and communication development of a diverse student population. Your responsibilities will extend to before and after the official student day for necessary evaluations, results meetings, and IEPs. This position involves a focus on developmental preschool programming (with no students present on Wednesdays for these services), as well as itinerant services, Child Find Evaluations, and potential support for Transition to Kindergarten, depending on caseload.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• State licensure (or eligibility) for SLP practice
• Experience working with school-aged children, especially in early childhood/elementary settings
• Familiarity with developmental preschool and early learning interventions preferred
• Ability to conduct and interpret assessments, and develop/implement IEPs
