Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing essential services to K-8 students, with a primary focus on grades 5-8. This assignment supports a maternity leave coverage and offers the chance to make a direct impact on a manageable caseload of 15-20 students in a supportive school environment near Berwyn, IL. You'll deliver approximately 32 hours per week on-site, and flexible scheduling is available (3-4 days/week). New staff orientation details will be communicated prior to your start date.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds active licensure and credentials for SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
- Recent work experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred.
- Ability to provide full-time, onsite services; remote work is not available.
- Comfortable serving students from kindergarten through middle school, especially those in grades 5-8.
- Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Clinical Fellowship (CF) applicants will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop plans of care for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school teams to maximize student outcomes.
- Participate in meetings, IEP processes, and contribute to a positive school atmosphere.
- Attend necessary training and orientation sessions as scheduled.
