Job Description
Shape the future of young learners as a dedicated Health teacher for the upcoming academic year. This contract position is based at a junior high serving students with diverse backgrounds and needs. You'll become an important part of the educational journey from August 17, 2026, through May 21, 2027, working onsite and collaborating closely with fellow educators and support staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid teaching license
- PEL (Professional Educator License) required
- Experience teaching general education, preferably with a focus on health
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Ability to work exclusively onsite; remote or virtual instruction is not an option
- Enthusiasm for creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

- Deliver engaging health education curricula aligned with state and district standards
- Foster a classroom culture of respect, safety, and healthy communication
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lessons as needed
- Support school initiatives by participating in meetings and collaborating with staff

- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
