Key Qualifications:
- Active and current LPN, LVN, or RN license in the state
- Experience in a school or pediatric nursing environment preferred
- Clear communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to assess, triage, and provide appropriate care in routine and urgent health situations
- Strong organizational abilities to maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver day-to-day medical care and first aid to students
- Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions according to individual health plans
- Promote a healthy school environment through infection control and awareness campaigns
- Provide health education for students and staff on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and safety
- Track immunizations, conduct screenings, and maintain detailed student health records
- Serve as an essential point of contact for parents regarding health concerns
- Partner with educators and administrators to support student attendance and learning
