Job description:
CabinetMakers willcreate custom woodwork for commercial, residential, institutional, and retailprojects.The Cabinet Maker willuse a combination of traditional hand tools and precision machinery to bring decorative and functional woodwork to life.The CabinetMakerswillfabricate and install trim, molding,cabinetryand shelves and specialize in designing, building, and installing custom-made cabinets and furniture.The Cabinet Maker will be highly trained invarious typesof wood, tools, and machinery to create functional and aesthetically pleasing pieces for customers.TRAINING PROVIDED!!
Key Responsibilities for Cabinet Makers:
- Cut, shape, sand,and stainwood for assembly.
- Assemble and install cabinetcomponentswith glue/clamps, dowels, screws, nails, andanyothertools and materials as needed.
- Read and interpret various drawing setsand other spec sheets.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean shop environment and work to ensure safety protocols and best practices arebeing followed.
- Meet all project deadlines.
- Maintain all equipment in workingconditionandreportingany faulty equipment to the shop manager.
- Request any needed items to the department leader and/or shop manager.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Previous experience preferred in carpentry, woodworking and/or cabinet making
- Technical skills: ability to understand design schematics
- Attention to detail and pride in completed pieces
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to sawdust in diverse environments, often including treated lumber or manufactured woods (plywood, MDF) containing binders.
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.

Work Location: In person
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a criminal background screening. For positions that involve driving or the operation of company vehicles, a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) review is also required.
