Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field required
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate science endorsement(s)
• Experience with curriculum design, lesson planning, and effective instruction, particularly for middle school grade levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with students, colleagues, and parents

Role Responsibilities:

• Teach 6th Grade Science following established curriculum guidelines and state standards
• Design innovative, hands-on lessons to foster scientific inquiry and critical thinking
• Assess, track, and report out on student progress using a variety of evaluation methods
• Collaborate with fellow educators to align instructional practices and enhance student learning outcomes
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities as needed
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment for all students
