Step into an exciting full-time opportunity as a dual language Pre-K teacher where your expertise in general education and ESL instruction are highly valued. This contract position runs from August 17 through May 27, 2027 and is located in a nurturing, onsite Pre-K environment serving young learners in grades K-2 who are English Language Learners.

As a valued educator in this role, you will engage, inspire, and support early childhood students as they progress in both academic and language proficiency.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate ESL and/or dual language endorsements.
  • Experience with curriculum planning, instructional delivery, and age-appropriate classroom management techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate classroom atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver engaging lessons tailored to Pre-K ESL students’ academic and language needs.
  • Employ research-based teaching strategies adapted for dual language learners.
  • Assess student progress regularly, adapting instruction as needed.
  • Collaborate with families, support staff, and fellow educators to ensure each child’s success.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and development.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing learning.
