Retail Pharmacy Manager in Heuvelton, NY

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee and lead pharmacy operations in a retail setting. This role requires strong leadership skills combined with clinical expertise to ensure regulatory compliance, excellent patient care, and efficient pharmacy management.

Job Type: Contract (Interim or Permanent)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Register and serve as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company policies and regulations.
• Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration to ensure financial viability.
• Lead business development initiatives within the store and local community.
• Supervise pharmacy support staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide training to ensure adherence to policies and patient care standards.
• Facilitate patient-centered programs such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness initiatives.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, interactions, side effects, and patient progress to optimize therapy outcomes.
• Uphold continuous quality improvement protocols to promote patient safety and service excellence.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace compliant with legal and company standards.
• Complete mandatory continuing education and other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid New York State Pharmacist License.
• Immunization Certification with comfort administering all vaccines.
• Preferred recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
