POSITION: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
LOCATION: Metro Detroit, MI
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday
We are seeking a compassionate, dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or CFY) to provide high-quality assessment and direct intervention for clients/students with communication and swallowing needs. In this role, you will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, educators, families, and healthcare professionals to drive meaningful outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluations & Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, fluency, voice, and/or swallowing disorders.
Treatment Planning: Develop and execute individualized treatment plans (IEPs or Plan of Care) with targeted goals.
Direct Therapy: Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, billing, and compliance requirements in accordance with state guidelines.
Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings (IEP meetings, care conferences, or family consultative sessions).
Family/Caregiver Education: Offer guidance and strategies to families, caregivers, and staff to support carryover into daily environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited university.
Licensure: Active (or eligible for) Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist License.
Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply (mentorship available).
Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by facility type).
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach.
