Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students in a vibrant elementary setting near Cedar Park, TX. Be the expert resource covering a leave for 12 weeks (August 3rd to October 23rd), working with a diverse caseload and making a real impact on student communication skills and overall educational experience.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active SLP license in Texas
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in school-based speech-language therapy
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 50 students, including push-in services for Life Skills and third-grade classes
- Proficient in writing Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs) and developing meaningful, measurable goals
- Ability to facilitate, prepare materials for, and document speech-only ARD meetings
- Skilled in conducting speech-only evaluations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to a caseload of 50 students, adapting approaches to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive learning environments
- Write comprehensive PLAAFPs and individualized goals as required
- Participate in MTSS meetings and provide student observations as needed
- Prepare, attend, and archive all speech-only ARDs for your caseload
- Update student progress reports after the first grading period
- Complete speech-only evaluations due within the assignment period
This is a full-time, onsite position (roughly 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 7.5 hours per day). Reliable and professional presence is essential for supporting student success.
