Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school-based environment near Milwaukee, WI. This full-time position runs from August 24th through June 4th, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work with students ranging from 4K to 8th grade, focusing on both speech-only caseloads and those receiving speech as a related service through IEPs.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold or be eligible for a Wisconsin SLP license and DPI certification
- CCC-SLP strongly preferred; CFY candidates considered when necessary
- Background in school-based Speech Language Pathology, with familiarity in delivering direct and consultative services
- Experience working in diverse urban school settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of Child Find services and the IEP process
- Strong evaluation and assessment skills for new referrals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for referred students
- Provide both direct therapy and indirect interventions to meet each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families on IEP development and service delivery
- Manage a caseload of approximately 11 speech-only students and 10–20 additional cases with speech as a related service
- Maintain timely documentation and participate actively in meetings
