Job Description
Exciting opportunities await for Speech-Language Pathology professionals seeking a contract position in a supportive educational environment. This full-time, onsite role offers flexibility and immersion in a dynamic school setting, beginning September 1 and extending throughout the full academic year.
You’ll be providing vital support to a diverse caseload, primarily with elementary students—including children in cross-categorical and general education classrooms who are served by IEPs. The assignment also includes working with two specialized ASD elementary classrooms, where your expertise can truly impact young learners’ communication and social skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or eligible for SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- State licensure as required for school-based practice
- Experience with pediatric and school-aged populations
- Knowledge in IEP processes and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Comfortable working with students in both general education and specialized settings
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Support students across preschool through high school, with a primary focus on elementary
- Conduct sessions in both cross-categorical and ASD-specific classrooms as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
