Job Description
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity providing speech-language services in a dynamic elementary school setting near Dripping Springs, TX. This full-time assignment runs from August 3rd to October 23rd, covering a 12-week leave. As the sole SLP, you'll support a caseload of approximately 50 students, delivering therapy—including push-in services in Life Skills and 3rd-grade classrooms. You’ll play an essential role facilitating student growth and collaborating with dedicated educational teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (SLP) in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong skills in writing PLAAFPs, developing goals, and preparing ARD documentation
- Confidence in facilitating MTSS meetings and conducting student observations
- Experience completing and interpreting speech-only evaluations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to a diverse group of students, including push-in support in Life Skills and 3rd-grade classes
- Write Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs) and develop individualized goals as needed
- Prepare, facilitate, and archive speech-only ARDs for your caseload
- Attend and participate in MTSS meetings; observe students and offer recommendations
- Update progress reports for all assigned students after the first grading period
- Conduct speech-only evaluations due through October 2026
