Retail Pharmacist - Unadilla, NY

A retail pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to oversee pharmacy operations and provide expert patient care. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work in a supportive, community-focused environment with a structured weekday and weekend schedule.

Location:

• Oneonta, NY

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the supervising pharmacist, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations.
• Manage pharmacy operations including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration to meet financial objectives.
• Lead and develop pharmacy support staff, conduct performance reviews, and ensure completion of all required training programs.
• Participate actively in community and in-store business development initiatives.
• Provide patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medications, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain pharmacy facilities and workstations in accordance with legal and company standards.
• Engage in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education to support patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification and confidence administering all types of vaccines.
• Recent pharmacy management experience preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent patient care and adherence to professional standards.
