Facility Overview
This is a well-established long-term care pharmacy in the Knoxville, Tennessee, area with a tenured and experienced pharmacy team. Responsibilities
Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently for long-term care patients
Review patient medication profiles for appropriateness, safety, and therapeutic optimization
Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers across assigned long-term care facilities
Perform drug utilization review and identify opportunities for medication therapy optimization
Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations and LTC standards
Support accurate and timely medication dispensing and distribution to assigned facilities
Experience
Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred
Retail or hospital pharmacy experience also considered for the right candidate
Comfortable in a high-volume LTC pharmacy environment
Skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Effective communicator with nursing staff, physicians, and long-term care facility teams
Reliable and consistent; this team values dependability above all else
Adaptable and collaborative team player
