You'll provide essential services across three locations each week. Your expertise will benefit students in self-contained classrooms and those on a speech-only caseload, ensuring impactful support for learners with complex needs.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure/certification for SLP in Illinois
- Prior experience with school-based or pediatric populations preferred
- Ability and willingness to work across multiple sites
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Adaptable, proactive, and passionate about helping students thrive
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services as assigned
- Work 1 day/week in a self-contained complex needs classroom
- Spend 1 day/week in a similar classroom environment
- Support a speech-only caseload for a half day each week
- Travel between school sites as part of your weekly schedule
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with school staff
- Conduct comprehensive and focused assessments
- Consult with classroom teachers and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes
