Job Description
A dynamic opportunity awaits experienced School Psychologists interested in supporting students and educators near North Fort Myers, Florida. This full-time contract position begins in August 2026 and runs through late May 2027, offering an engaging role in a school environment. The assignment may include responsibilities at more than one campus, making adaptability and strong organizational skills essential.
You will work with a varied student caseload, likely including testing, comprehensive report writing, and active participation in IEP meetings. Expertise in assessments is crucial, and those with prior school-based experience will be especially valued.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and active Florida Department of Health Psychologist license
- Demonstrated experience in conducting psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
- Previous experience working in K-12 school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes, collaborative multidisciplinary teams, and current special education guidelines
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to serve multiple schools as an itinerant provider, as needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual assessments to support student learning and behavioral needs
- Prepare clear, comprehensive psychoeducational reports
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with staff and families
- Provide expert consultation to teachers and administrators on intervention strategies
- Travel between schools within the district as assignments require
