Make a meaningful impact in a supportive elementary school environment as a Registered Behavior Technician. Located near Waukegan, IL, this contract opportunity runs from August 27, 2026, through June 12, 2027, aligning with the district’s academic calendar. You'll enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule, working 35 hours per week from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks daily.

You’ll support one elementary student in a dedicated 1:1 setting, working within a collaborative school team at the Skokie building, serving students in grades 5 and 6. Your guidance and expertise will directly contribute to fostering students' success both academically and behaviorally.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required; please only apply if your certificate is current and included with your application.
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, especially in an educational or behavioral support capacity, is highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient approach when working with children.
  • Ability to implement behavioral intervention plans and work collaboratively with educational staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 behavioral support to an elementary student, following established plans.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and behavior analysts to ensure effective implementation of interventions.
  • Maintain accurate data collection and documentation of student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
