Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP licensure in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric therapy within a school or healthcare environment
- Understanding of IEP process and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, diagnose speech/language disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver evidence-based therapy both individually and in groups, adapting strategies to meet a diverse range of student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school specialists to foster communicative growth and advocate for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, document progress, and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide resources and training for staff and families to support students’ communication objectives outside therapy sessions
