Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by serving as a School Psychologist for the entire academic year in a vibrant educational environment near Fairfield, CT. This contract opportunity welcomes both experienced school psychologists and those enthusiastic about supporting student growth. Two full-time openings are available—one of which requires bilingual proficiency to best support multilingual learners.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or eligibility for school psychologist licensure
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting is highly preferred
- Bilingual fluency (Spanish/English strongly preferred) for one of the openings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological assessments and interpret results for students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct intervention and counseling services to students
- Promote positive behavior supports and mental health initiatives within the school setting
- Consult with staff and families to support academic achievement and emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district guidelines
