Job Description
Embark on a rewarding school-based contract role utilizing your Speech-Language Pathology expertise! This full-time, onsite opportunity offers you the chance to make a significant impact supporting students in an educational environment near Santa Fe, NM. Whether you prefer working with different age groups, caseloads, or classroom settings, your preference and background will help determine your assignment. There are two available positions, both beginning August 3, 2026, and continuing through May 20, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Current licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in New Mexico
- Prior experience working within school settings is strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt to diverse caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct therapy individually or in group settings, adjusting approaches as needed
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other staff to support carryover of therapy strategies
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to progress reports and IEP meetings
- Participate in school initiatives and professional development opportunities
