Pharmacist in Charge - Mobile, AL

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to manage pharmacy operations with a commitment to quality patient care and team leadership. The position is available as a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering a potential path to permanent employment for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and leadership. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a consistent weekday routine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
• Verify prescriptions accurately to ensure patient safety and compliance
• Provide thorough patient counseling regarding medication usage, side effects, and adherence
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with clinic staff to address medication-related inquiries
• Maintain compliance with state laws and pharmacy regulations
• Lead and support pharmacy staff in delivering excellent service

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear Alabama pharmacist license
• Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting
• Strong knowledge of prescription verification processes and pharmacy laws
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and lead a team effectively
