School Psychologist in Mishawaka, IN

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting young learners as an on-site School Psychologist in a thriving educational environment near Mishawaka, IN. This position centers around empowering Pre-Kindergarten students, many of whom are part of a Special Needs and Abilities Preschool program. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and families to promote positive classroom behavior, deliver targeted behavioral interventions, and smooth students’ transitions into the school setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Indiana licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience or strong interest in early childhood education, especially with special needs populations
• Knowledge of behavioral intervention, progress monitoring, and family collaboration strategies
• Strong communication and consultation skills to work with staff, parents, and caregivers
• Ability to provide comprehensive evaluations in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a moderate caseload (approximately 70 students)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide First Step Transition behavioral intervention services for Pre-K students, enhancing school readiness and social-emotional development
• Implement the First Step Transition program, including direct behavioral coaching, classroom consultation, and regular progress monitoring
• Support families and teachers through ongoing consultation, training, and engagement to foster a positive learning environment
• Coordinate and participate in multidisciplinary evaluations with occupational therapists, physical therapists, SLPs, autism consultants, and other specialists
• Facilitate the transition process for incoming Pre-K students and their caregivers over a two-day evaluation period

This contract runs from August 14, 2026 to June 4, 2027 with a steady 35-hour work week and occasional additional hours as needed.
